The heavy burden of virtue has just become too great for the United States, so bombs away.

Empiricism and reason have fled from our institutions. The minds of individuals have become their refuge in the United States. Study them, let them in, and then remember them in a land where so many have forgotten.
Penitent for my sins, but not crippled by guilt. This is one of the chief gifts of an awareness of mercy. Show it and you will know it.
